High Balsam Farm originated as a vision to build community around sustainability. Located in Lakewood, Colorado, the unique nature of the land around the creek with various microclimates allows for rich potential endeavors and growth. In line with permaculture practices, we grow unique mushrooms, specialty floral and fresh greens that combine culinary delicacy, education and gathering opportunities. As a female farmer, Beth brings a background of working in mental health and science with a lifelong growing history. She hopes to embody a spirit of generosity in educating others about permaculture, mycology and the occupation of being human while participating in our 2023 GoFarm Incubator Program.
