I’m Ann Poteet. Full-time Mom, most-time Farmer, and part-time Nurse Practitioner. In 2022 I embarked on a personal, introspective journey that led me to regenerative farming. A mix of curiosity, a desire to explore beyond the clinic, calls from the past, and a deep rooted feeling of wanting to “do good” led me to farming.

In 2023 I started Three Owls Farm as an urban, hand-tended farm, on a small plot of land in Golden, CO.

I care passionately about helping those in need, and Three Owls Farm will be primarily focused on bringing nutritionally dense produce to those who face any number of challenges. The long-term goal of Three Owls Farm is to become a primarily non-profit farm that supports the needs of the Colorado community. Through outreach, grant funding, and hard work, we will follow the lessons of the indigenous Cheyenne who lived on this land before us through environmental stewardship and a focus on community.

I care deeply about fostering the land and bringing balance to the soil. I use natural growing methods to create a biologically intensive space for growth of high quality vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Through minimal tillage methods, cover-cropping, beneficial insects for pest control, and organic fertilizers, I aim to cultivate an ecologically diverse space for the plants and creatures that exist on the land.
